<p>You’re essay should be between 250 and 500 words. I would lean towards the 500 side. I’m not very familiar with Yale’s application but I take it that they require two samples. You do need to address why you want to transfer and I would suggest mentioning what you plan on doing there/ what makes you unique. I would not reuse you initial essay you applied with. With a of college under your belt you have surely changed. Yale might have you old essay still on file. Writing a fantastic new essay can only help.</p>

<p>I never applied to Yale initially so them finding a reused essay shouldn’t be a problem and I’m a freshman applicant so basically only a year has passed since I wrote it. I don’t fell any older/maturer =) haha~</p>
