<p>How long should the essays be on the Georgetown application? My short essay is about 1000 characters (its the same one as the short answer on the Common App). My first long essay is the same one as my longer Common App one and is like 500 words. How long should the last one be? Ahhh thanks so much</p>
<p>You’re going to hate this answer, but it’s truly the answer. Your essay should be whatever length you feel best presents your case for admission. If it’s 100 words, write that. If it’s 500 words, write that. If it’s 1,000 words… well you may need to calm down and filter some things!</p>
<p>Yeah that sounds good, it’s just that they say “approximately a page in length” but I’m not 100% sure what that means…12 pt font? Double spaced? I don’t even know. But thanks I feel like my essays are the right length really</p>
<p>Yeah I’m using the 500 word common app guideline as a rough estimate. The way I see it, if they didn’t specify, it’s probably not that important.</p>
