Neither Wharton nor Georgetown specify essay lengths. I was wondering what you all think is the maximum length for a "why I want to transfer" essay. Two pages?

Also, could anyone critic my UM essays?

Georgetown says it should be "about one printed page." That leaves a lot to be said, depending on whether you double space and the font used. I would think, like most transfer essays, they're expecting 250-750 words max. Just try not to go over 1000 for sure and you should be fine.

250 words and I will read them

that's unlikely. For the Common Application, the "why I want to transfer essay" gives a range of 250-500 words. 250 would be the minimum.

I think a short essay tightly written is much more impressive.350 max.

of course, the more concisely said, the better. However, we're talking about actual limit allotted. In every case I've seen, the lowest word limit was 500, and some schools, like Cornell, allow you up to 750 words.

ill read it
