Does anyone have a general idea of how long our essays are supposed to be? For both the short essay and the teo regular essays?

the regular essays should be "about a page"

A page double spaced or normal spaced?

Also font 12?

lol. I am just making sure and thus asking.

500 words is what I've heard and seen a few colleges write.

they said normal spaced and 12 font times new roman

Does anyone know what our short essay about an EC is supposed to look like? Is it supposed to fill up the whole space typed? I don't want to push the envelope.

the adcom I talked to said they really want it handwritten, that's why you have to use the "space provided"

Hmm, then I'm going to have to get some legible handwriting (and fast).

yea georgetown likes things a bit old school

no joke (see: no online app!)

Regular essay: 1 page, single spaced, 10-12 pt font, fiddle around with the margins at your own risk.

Short essay: As long as it fits in the space provided by the PDF, and it's readable. (Meaning, the text should not shrink to a 4 pt font by the time you're done writing your essay.)

How does one type the essay on the application, when the application does not allow?

You can type on the application, you just can't save it.

How do you type on the PDF file? It's not allowing me to do that

Try a different browser - I remember it doesn't work under one of the browsers my daughter was trying. Also pop up blockers need to be off.
