My short answer is less than 200 words (although the description of why I chose it is quite lengthy; I chose option #7), but my long answer is sitting pretty at 808. It was my Common App essay, and I edited it very slightly to fit prompt #1 and cut about 200 words. I think it is a good essay, and addresses the prompt (very happy with it, imho), and I know that I will lose the essence of the essay if I cut anything. I have enough time to write a 500 word essay on a different topic (have an idea for one), but I think that this essay will really help paint a picture of me as an applicant. What should I do?

Side note, if anyone wants to glance at it real quick, just ask. And let me know if you think I can cut anywhere, because I know that it isn't in good taste to run over like that
