<p>I take it, you are referring to the Common App essay so I think the agreeable length is 500-700!!</p>
<p>I have read admissions essays of varied length; however, the suggested word count is 500-700 words (and I believe 250 words minimum). Try and make a substantial, memorable essay worth reading. I have not read too many extremely short essays that proved effective.</p>
