Hey guys! So I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who is thinking to reuse the Common App essays for the Georgetown app, since they essentially ask for the same things. How long were your short answer (about activity) and your personal essay?
My short one from common app is 150 words obviously, and the longer one was somewhere around 700. What do you guys think?
P.S. Acceptees and current students answers are especially appreciated since you guys got accepted haha

My activities essay was about 640 words, my Georgetown essay was about 700, and my personal essay was 940 words. The personal statement was a little over a page in length, and I know they said to keep it to a page, but it’s hard to tell when you apply electronically. I got accepted with that, so I don’t think they were too finicky about length. I think as long as you keep it to under 1000 words, you should be in good shape.

If you’re looking for defined limits, the pdf of the paper application I think mentions something about how long the essays should be, although the electronic app isn’t that specific.

Oh ok thanks!
Anyone with essays on the other (short) side?

I just applied today haha, and I used my Common App activities blurb for Georgetown as well. It’s only 170 words. As for my essays, my personal essay was 729, and my business essay was 708. Who knows if any of this will get my accepted though :(

I was on the shorter side for my essays, and I got accepted EA. My activities one was well under the common app limit, but I’m not sure how many words exactly. My two main essays for Georgetown were only around 400-450 words each!
