Essay Mistake - big deal or not?

Hey! I just submitted my Georgetown application and of course noticed a mistake in one of my essays. It’s not a grammar error, I just wrote “sophomore year” instead of “junior year” to reference an essay competition that I won in a class taken junior year. I have it listed under awards on the app as being received junior year. So, I’m just worried that it won’t correlate with when I took the class and received the award and the admissions committee might think something weird is up. Should I email my admissions counselor or just leave it?!

leave it!! you’ll be fine

They have so many applications to read that they probably won’t notice. Of course they’ll give your app proper consideration, but it’s impossible to process that many facts that fast. In other words – you’ll be fine!
