After i submitted my essay to several colleges, i let someone read my essay and they told me i didn’t use one word correctly. I used ascendancy instead of authority/control and i did not refer to government or state in the context. Will that affect my chance of getting into the colleges? Few read my essay but they didn’t catch that mistake. i am nervous now plz help.
I had an excellent essay but even when I look over it now I see ways I could have phrased things differently. It’s over now and all you can do is wait. There’s no reason to stress over it. Essays are mainly for colleges to learn a bit more about you as a person and your communication skills; they do not have to be the best literary masterpieces you’ve ever written.
