<p>Does anyone know what the essay topic is for the application?</p>
<p>Just a personal statement about one of your ECs, and I believe the no. of characters has to be 600 or less (online app):</p>
<p>"Please coose one of the commitments that you listed above (activity, interest or work experience) and provide a short description of its importance to you. Include why that commitment could be relevant to your student experience at Penn State."</p>
<p>The length is ridiculuous. I know I usually need more space to elaborate my writing, so 250 words is definitely a handicap.</p>
