Essay on passion not reflected in activities section?

Hi, I have a secret passion for an activity for which I didn't engage in a club or competition in high school. I've been doing it secretly on my own. At the beginning, my parents didn't want me to do it and I was too self conscious. By now, I'm too busy with other activities in school that I don't have time to actually be in a club. But I'm definitely doing it in college, and I spent most of my free time working on that activity independently.

My best essay is rambling about that activity, but I wonder if adcoms will look down on my application because my activities list doesn't reflect my essay? But I don't feel like explaining why I didn't participate in high school because that just looks like an excuse and takes away from the writing.

It's a creative activity (like drawing, music, dance, theater).

This might count as an EC that you can write down in the activities section…ECs don’t have to be formal/organized.

Really? Even if it’s just in my own room when my parents are sleeping/away? That’d be cool.
