<p>Probably a dumb question to ask but here it goes anyway. I have written this essay about how my work as a sport coach and how it has helped me to develop and grow (this is something that maybe my employer/coach wrote in his rec letter, I don't know). Is there anyway to submit this essay through the resume supplement, or will that just hurt my chances of getting in?</p>

<p>You’re trying to submit an additional essay and slip it in as a resume submission? The downside outweighs the positive, IMHO.</p>
<p>If Penn wanted to allow its applicants an additional, optional statement (like Harvard does), they would have indicated so. As such, you aren’t a special case and you shouldn’t come off jamming your essay down the readers’ throats.</p>
<p>I agree. If I was an admissions officer reading an essay that I didn’t want to, I’d be relatively incensed.</p>
