most of my classes have been advanced or honors and i am currently enrolled in 2 AP courses.

i have put in over 1,000 hours of community service by working at a summer camp and also have an aditional 75 hours from teaching catechism. i have been a member of the the writing club and newspaper, photography editor for both. i'm a member of model un, debate club, students for enviornmental action, playbill club, musicals, and plays.

i was accepted to suny binghamton, which is comprable to rutgers i suppose.

You might as well write the essay. I don't know if you need it or not, but it would suck to be denied acceptance just because you didn't spend an extra hour on the application.

I am not at all trying to be rude by saying this, but your changes at Rutgers are already greatly diminished because you are apply so late. The priority deadline for Rutgers was December 1. So to answer your question, whether you write an essay or not, your chances are not very good. Hope this helps.

Why wouldn't you include the essay if you are gong to take the trouble to apply? Surely you can adapt one from some other application. Your EC's are terrific but I'm not sure Rutgers puts the time into the apps to evaluate that.

They do not read your essays period. Rutgers is a "PC" oriented school and is going to do admissions by the "book" - GPA and SAT. Nothing else counts assuming you don't have a criminal record or disciplinary record.
