<p>Personally I didn’t write about specifically about the engineering program at UVA, mainly since when I applied I really didn’t know enough about the program to write about it. I think the question wants to know why you as an individual want to become an engineer and demonstrate that you posses traits of an engineer.</p>

Start your essay talking about your experiences (I would stick with one) that made you pick engineering and then talk about how UVa’s SEAS program would help foster and fine tune your interest. If there’s something unique about UVa’s engineering program that draws you to the school, write about it. So incorporate the two. by doing so, you show that have taken a genuine interest in the school and are not applying willy nilly and it also shows why you’re interested in engineering (overall).</p>
