I'm trying to collect up the various essay prompts/word limits that my daughter needs to write for this fall, but I can't seem to get to that part of the GWU application without more or less APPLYING to GWU.

Anyone know what the essay topics/lengths are?

Deskpotato - I know of no way, either GW Online App or CommonApp, to get the essay prompts without at least registering and “starting” the application process. You and your daughter should be able to do this and scroll to the essay prompts without having to submit the fee.

FYI - GW is a CommonApp school. Both my “S” and “D” used the CommonApp in the past which simplifies things a great deal if you are applting to several schools. Both were accepted to GW using the CommonApp. She might as well start the process now. This should enable you to see the essay prompts.

If she is a rising senior - I wholeheatedly agree she should be doing her essays over the summer and then have her English teacher/Counselor review them in early fall. Too many high school students wait til fall and gwet overwhelmed with the essays.

Good luck
