I’ve already written my commonapp essay. It’s structured such that i go from significant experience to how it’s affected me and shaped my goals, to why [insert college] is a great match for me to achieve said goals. My essay inherently plugs a 100 or so word paragraph about the specific school (why unique, specific research programs, great environment). It comes to about 540 words in total.

What should I do with the Why Penn essay? Should I make my commonapp essay into my Why Penn essay? The problem with that, though, is that I don’t say anything about courses. If I write another essay specifically about why I want to go to UPenn, would it seem repetitive because of the college-specific plug I made in my commonapp essay?

Thanks for any help you can give me.
