Essay Question

wooooooooow, my common app essay was compeltely different

is it acceptable to submit an essay about, "indicate a person who has had an influence on you and describe that influence" in lieu of the autobiographical one... doesnt it say autobiographical or creative or somthing

anyone in a similar position to me??????

ten characters

what's the prompt again for the GU one?

The Admissions Committee would like to know more about you in your own words. Please submit a brief essay,
either autobiographical or creative, which you feel best describes you.

i would wirte it according to the prompt... the common app essay is different in my opinion

Depending on how you wrote about it, I'd say it's possible to send in your common app essay for that. I actually did it the other way around, I used one of my GU essay as my common app essay.

you might want to write the autobiographical one anyways just because odds are you're going to find something like it on a lot of other apps.

naw this is the only one that asks for autobiographical .... maybe I'll call them up, would you guys say this is worth calling for, or will it annoy them..?

no- this is what you do.

use that essay, but use this person to show how they have shaped you - who you are through your story. they dont care - what they're looking for is something well written.
