essay question

If you were a member of the committee that was reviewing this (your) application, what is the single most important aspect of your application that you would emphasize in order to convince the rest of the committee to offer this candidate (you) admission— and why?

For this question did most of you go the straightforward route or did you somehow find a creative story in emphasizing a certain part?

straightforward

where is this question on the application?

apparently this is part of the common app supplement.

oh ok.. i was like??? because i submitted my app a while ago and didnt remember this..

thanks

This is the only supplementary essay I'm going straight foward with.

So the common app has different essays?

the common app requires an NYU supplement, which has different questions.

This question is specifically why I decided to use NYU's online app instead of the common app! Yeah, I'm lazy. ;)

would emphasizing my transcript be a good choice? i've gotten all A's in my high school career...

but i'm not sure if that counts as "part of the application" since you don't actually write out the grades. is it refering to extracurricular activities? or a characteristic about yourself? like..being "well rounded?"
