Essay Question-

Discuss a setback that you have faced and overcome...

Well I really never had an major setbacks however, I am an active member of the Varsity football team, a team that is known for being horrible yet we have slowly progressed into a better team, still pretty bad though as of last year. Well this year we have a better team and have chances to make playoffs. Would an essay that talks how about how myself and my team was labeled with a "bad" name because our how poorly our team has been in past. Even if we do somewhat better we are always still called crappy and this is the year we are going to prove people wrong. And also how I motivate my teammates and friends to play to the best of their ability giving the team spirit and whatever else. And how we arent the same team we used to be. Would this be an acceptable essay to write about?

how about you write it after the comeback

You've had a longrunning series of setbacks and you propose to write about how you handled them and/or responded to them.

Sounds reasonable to me.

I don't think that the results of the "comeback" matter. The point of the essay is to discuss what you did in response to the setbacks, how you overcame them. I don't think it matters, for purposes of the essay, whether or not your team also overcomes enough other teams to make the playoffs. If you are moving significantly in a positive direction, you've already overcome the setbacks.

fakkkkke ittt... ... ...psych. DON'T do that, colleges are getting better at verifying these things, not like you would do it anyway, right?
