essay question

my essays arent always the best, so would a third example guarantee me a five.

also which is better, two examples that are good or three examples with the third being average because i was rushing.

Nope, they don't look at how many examples you are putting in but HOW you are presenting those examples.

2 examples that are good = Better choice.
I know a friend whose aunt was an SAT grader and she told me that her instructions were to look for exactly 2 examples.

Just use two examples and make them really detailed and focused ( on topic ).

agreed. i got an 11 with 2. you should be fine

i also have a question...do they have to be real examples or could they be personal examples as well (in that case you could make them up)

I scored an 11 with three examples.

But stick with two if you can't come up with a strong third.

If you feel that one of your three examples is weaker than the other two, don't put the weakest example last. It's much better to build to a strong finish than look like you ran out of ideas.
