One of the UC essay questions “Is there anything you would like us to know about u or ur academic record that u have not had the opportunity to describe elsewhere on the application”…is this just a general question? can u write about whatever u want? bc i would really like to use my common application essay for this one…

You can write whatever you want but remember the essay limit

yea they want two of them, the first two, to be approximately 200 words each and the last to be 600 words.

"yea they want two of them, the first two, to be approximately 200 words each and the last to be 600 words."

that's completely wrong, the person gets to choose which essay gets 600 words and which other 2 get 200 words each

so for the question: "is there anything else u would like us to know about u or ur academic record that isn't said elsewhere"....u can write whatever u want, correct? For instance, the essay ur using for the Common Application....

this is what they want, you determine if the essay makes sense

thanks hwtf :)

they say that it is open ended, but the question talks about academics. I have a 600 word essay from another app about balancing the different aspects of my life-not much to do with my academic record or schooling. I really like it, and it would be a waste if I couldnt reuse it. Should I use it on this one?

Open ended 3) Is there anything you would like us to know about you or your academic record that you have not had the opportunity to describe elsewhere in this application?

about YOU or academic record.. so it can be anything, not just academics which is basically #1 and then possibly #2 already
