<p>well, im in study hall so im gonna just post this essay i just wrote for psu so when i go home i can copy and review. Note, this has not been edited.</p>

<p>I picked trombone since i didnt wanna show them i was just a meathead with tennis...</p>
<pre><code> Music is something that has always relived me of stress from academics. I first started playing the trombone when i was in fourh grade. I decided to play the trombone because moving a slide seemed more fascinating then simply pressing buttons.
In high school, playing the instrument becamse a more frequent activity. I started playing my instrument four days a week instead of two. In hs, i also played tennis, which was a huge stress reliever. However, tennis season was only in the spring and afterschool. Wit band, i participated in syphonic band during the school day and the marching band which was afterschool in the fall and spring. Playing the trombone, i could play durign any of my free periods such as study halls and lunch. Playing the trombone relieved me of academic stress by clearing my mind. Blasting notes for pep band or playing complex melodies always cleared my mind.
Playing the tromebone in hs is very relvant to me being at penn state., I would audittion for the penn state blue band. Furthermore, i would take a few music classes even tohuyght it would not be my major. A reason that penn state is my number one choice is becasue the universtiy offers a variety of music clubs with a strong academic program.
As one can clearly see, playing the trombone would be relevant to me at penn state .
