Rosa Parks: anti-racism, stood up for what she believed in - equality among race. She used silent protest to fight for equality among blacks. She suffered job losses and time in jail in order to gain equality. She disciplined herself by resisting attacks on her family and not violently rebelling just to have equality between the blacks and the whites. She led a boycott of the buses that went on for 381 days. This discipline and restriction on one’s actions ultimately resulted in the Supreme court’s ruling that the bus rule of blacks in back and whites in front was unconstitutional. Using similar means, Martin Luther King and Malcom X positioned themselves so that the Supreme Court also ruled separate but equal unconstitutional.
