<p>Just wondering something about writing my UC personal statements. </p>
<p>Is it too stiff-sounding to be using words/phrases like 'However' and 'In addition' to start certain sentences? To put it into context, the sentences goes something like "In addition, this attitude also enabled me to..." and "However, that isn't to say..."</p>
