<p>I have been coming up with a few ideas for the common app essay. Are they overdone?</p>
<p>-Every other week, my Girl Scout troop sorts and counts soda and beer cans at the local dump to turn them in at a redemption center as a fundraiser to fund a trip to Savannah, GA.</p>
<p>-My first camping trip was in my sophmore year with my Girl Scout troop. It was a competition against several other more experienced troops, but I had a great time anyways.</p>
<p>I have worked out ways to show my personality and interests in each of these.</p>
