i was just wondering… in general…
is it bad to bring in ur religion or political view points in ur essays?
like for me… christianity has made an enormous impact on my life and a lot of my ECs and community services come from my involvement with church.
but wut if the admissions officer reading my essays is like anti-Christianity or something?

I don't see anything wrong with writing about how religion impacted , as long as you don't take it too far. However, it might be risky because you never know what religion the admin ppl are

yeah, stay away from controversial topics. I wrote about how my views on abortion evolved, and scratched it because the person reading it might feel differently about it. Now, if you were to write a satire-ish, mocking controversial topics, that would be cool and fun to read. I remember that one essay to NYU about the kid who did everything before going to college...hahaha, what fun.

so would it be bad if for my extracurricular activities i have like member of Praise Band at Church or like my Church Youth Group's Outreach Project Leader(did non-religious community services)?

many college campus have diverse religious groups (except for a select few like CUA) so it's cool to write down ECs that were from your church.

i think you should write down religious ECs.
as for your original question, what they say is, 'you can talk about it, but don't preach it.' since it's something important to you, you should be able to write about the topic without being penalized. they want to know who you are, after all.

i agree with simplyme, dont preach anything. You aren't trying to convert anyone, you just want them to know the effect religion had on your life or experience(s)
