<p>If applying to engineering, it says that applicants should write their personal statement about their interest in their intended major. Is it okay if this is the 200 word essay or do they want the essay about engineering to be 600 words?</p>

<p>It's fine to have it as the 200 word essay, but of course, a 600-word essay will probably make a stronger impact.</p>

<p>What if I am applying to a professional school or college (such as the CoE)?</p>

<p>"If you are applying to a professional school or college, it is important that you discuss your intended field of study in your personal statement. Describe not only your interest in your specific major, but also any school or work-related experiences."</p>
