Essay usf

Okay, so i'm doing my application on facts.org for USF.
Theres no essay? but on another thread they say sending an essay will help boost your chances. the community college i dual enroll at has an articulate agreement with usf, so i should get in..but what essay should i send to help me even more?

I applied for admission, was accepted, and enrolled at USF within the last 2 years as a first time in college freshman bringing a bunch of dual enrollment credits with me. An essay wasn’t requested and I didn’t submit one. Call admissions at USF to clear up what they prefer for your application essay-wise. Get your application in early. I applied the first part of Sept. and got my acceptance decision in about 2 weeks. Good luck!

ok awesome! another question, i’m duel enrolling too. I should have 50+ credits when I transfer over…possibly my a.a.
when i transfer over, will most/all of my credits transfer over too…at least my gen-eds? i wouldnt mind re-taking the classes in my major (accounting), but I really don’t want to do the englishes and 10 page papers, maths, and sciences again.

Most or all of your credits should transfer. Make sure though the college classes you are taking now match up with the track for your anticipated major–accounting. You could end up with credits that are dead wood if they can’t be applied to getting your degree. Too, try to get all the general studies classes completed. When I applied, only 2 semesters of English were required–now I think you need 3. Check for all that kind of stuff. It can get tricky determining which courses are best to take before you enter 4 year college. The advisors at your dual enrollment college can help you pick the right classes for eventual transfer to 4 yr. college. If you get an AA things can get different too–check with your advisor.

I’ve completed enc 1101, 1102 and lit 1000.
Believe me, i’m living in my guidance counselor’s office. In fact, she gave me all by books for my senior year the beginning of summer in hopes I might leave her alone, all in jokes of course. lol

My thing is, these classes are cake for the most part. When I transfer to USF and start taking the junior level accounting courses, I’m afraid I might be lost because of my community college education. Ah well, If I study enough…i’ll have my bachelors at 20…lol. :D

Sounds like you are in good shape. I was concerned how I would do at USF compared to my community college classes. I had maybe a 3.3 GPA for my dual enrollment classes and this past year at USF my GPA is 3.6 something. You’ll do fine.

My gpa for college is around the same. I guess since the classes are so easy, i dont put in as much effort as i should. ugh.
