<p>I've read from a source by " The Harvard Independent" that says 5% the essay helps,2% hurts and 95% doesn't matter at all.</p>

<p>It’s difficult to judge the importance of any aspect of the application (that isn’t the transcript) against another. Obviously, grades and hard numbers the most important, but EVERYTHING else in the application combines to form one image of an applicant.</p>
