Essay Word Limit

<p>I know the common application main essay does not have a max word limit but a minimum word limit but I was wondering generally, what is the longest an essay should be so it doesn't seem too lengthy and doesn't seem to keep on going on and on and on. About how many words?</p>

<p>I’d put the cap at 800, though personally, I’d recommend stopping at 650, unless you really need to say a lot.</p>
