Essay

Is it wrong to criticize historical people in my essay?

Not at all. It’s what the essay is all about, illustrating your opinion through examples. What you shouldn’t do, is criticize -or even include- anything related to religion, politics, and sex.

As an example, if I said that an old president ued to lie ?

Slightly related to politics, I wouldn’t recommend. If you were fond of George Washington, and an essayer decided to deride and vilify him, you would view that essay with a tinge of subconscious contempt, and give him a score lower than what he deserves, wouldn’t you?

As a rule of thumb, try to stay on the safe side, and use examples from uncontroversial and undisputed facts of history and/or literature.

Great point of view… thanks (=
