I'm looking at the Pomona essay prompts right now, and I'm kind of confused about what they want us to write on the question about reinventing your high school. Should I be writing about the pros and cons about my high school, or should I be writing about what I think an ideal high school should be like? Thanks.

Neither, really. What they're really asking is what are your interests and what changes would be made to your current school to facilitate these interests.

Good luck!

yeah, never dis your high school. it'll make you look like a tool.

Thanks for the comments. Now I can write my essay.

hi, i think the question is really open ended and you can take it in whatever direction you want. i wrote mine about how the school should put all its extra money into transforming the bathrooms into vip lounges. really it's all completely up to you!

i think it's ok to point out what you like and dislike about your h.s. just make sure that you explain why, and say what you would change and why... My S answered this question last year and he's a freshman now, so...

I just finished writing my essay today and turned in my application. I'm just going to hope for the best when April 1 comes around.

That's all you can do at this point. Good luck! It'll work out.
