Quick question should I use my common app essay for U.Wisc. or a supp-why wisc essay?

hold on, are you saying there are 2 essays?

I didn't turn in any essays because there wasn't any place for it in their online application.

Yea there was...on the last page where you picked the campus you wanted to go to, but i don't think it is necessary..i did one tho and i got in, so it couldn't hurt

Do a short 'why wisc' essay. The wisc prompt is pretty general, but at least for me, my common app essay didn't seem like what they said they were looking for. I just wrote a short paragraph. I definitely wouldn't not do it though.

kk thanks

beramod,
There is an "Applicant's Statement" as Viper said...and it says on the application that "This is an important part of your application". I'd suggest that you send one in just in case.

If you are unable to view your online application, you may want to download a hardcopy to see the specifications on the Applicant's Statement.

For my "Applicant's Statement," I just inserted my strongest essay and reworked the tiniest bit so that it fit Wisconsin.

I got in.

justetmein what were your stats?

3.4uw 4.3w (72/312)
8 APs
1500 (780m/720v)
32 ACT
SAT II: 740 us hist, 730 math ic
out of state

o... I just checked back at my application and I actually did submit an essay. :D Didn't even know I did. Oh, and myuw application status has mine as blank... is that typical? I sent an email asking my status, but noone replied yet. Getting worried.

beramod when did u send ur app?

I sent it early to mid november. They didn't send me any postcard, just an email telling me my Campus ID. I'm sick of worrying.

the essay for wisc was weird///
