oops… sorry

You should not put your essay up here for all the world to see and steal. If you want people to read it, ask them and then those who say yes you can PM or email them your essay. Hopefully the mods will take this down.

I’d even advise against PM’ing and emailing to others on here, in all honesty, unless they are CLEARLY (as based on prior postings over a long period of time) someone who has already graduated from high school and is not currently mired in the application process.

I am a college freshman, but I have a younger sibling who’ll be applying in a couple of years, so why even trust me? (By the way I will not review essays, since I cannot possibly write as well as most on here, and I honestly don’t have the time or desire to review). There are folks on here like fireandrain above, or others who have been on here for years and are clearly already at Brown or elsewhere, who are likely candidates, but may also beg off. But an anonymous PM from someone claiming to be someone should be taken as a warning that they may be phishing for content for their own essay. Proceed with caution. It’s the internet – there are no guardrails.

I agree with Dukeofearl that caution is important. It’s easy to check someone’s history of posts on CC and figure out if they are a hs junior or a parent.
