Do the UC’s read all the essays and take into consideration the 600 word essay more than the others?

I’m worried because everyone’s 600 word essay ive seen had some metaphor in it, or had some kind of story line, or some dialogue or something, but mine just reads how i’d talk to someone "I this… " “I that…” blah blah… it’s a GREAT essay, but it doesnt have some of these techniques that i’ve seen other people use (i think they are annoying actually…)

The whole idea of the personal essays is this (big role of drums): PERSONAL. It has to make you stand out of the crowd (in a good way ;))

Your essays should NOT compose of lists in paragraph form; remember, the admissions officer does not want to listen to you brag about your many accomplishments (that is what your application is for).

The 600 word essay should be used for the topic that you have the most to say about. Trust me, once the ideas start flowing, the hard part is keeping them under 200 words.

One thing to keep in mind when the juices DO start flowing: make sure that everything you say goes to answer the specified question. You can make it autobiographical (this is highly recommended), but don't diverge too much.
