Essays; 3 Example version vs Non-example versions

Hey there,
(Originally posted on a different section of forum, didn't got much attention)
fingers-crossed

I am taking SAT for the first time this October. And I am really worried about the essay section, I've seen people give examples of past events from around the world with dates and names and whatnot. I frankly have no such kind of fancy knowledge nor I am an avid book reader. I have a good amount of knowledge about the people in the tech industry, and most of the books that I've read are visual novels.. and book-cum-videogames. I am not sure if you would be able to understand how daunting this situation is for me because almost everywhere people recommend giving history/literary examples and I for sure cannot do that.
On the other hand, I see some hope from here and there, people scoring 12 without giving any such examples. For instance, the essays posted in this forum (check the first post, also there are several others)

and in the bluebook, page 120 the essay about perfection the writer has only included events from his life yet he got a 6.

I would like some expert opinion whether the '3 example' version is the best or there are other ways to get a double digit score, not saying perfect 12 but a 10 or 11 would be pretty sweet too.
