Essays and chances

I am an international student applying from the UK. I've been seriously considering applying EA to Harvard, I'd just like to ask a few questions as I dont have as much information as I could.

Firstly, my chances..

Ethnicity- Black (African)

SAT - 2150 (650 V, 780 M, 720 W), retaking in november
SAT IIs (took this month) - Lit, Maths IIC, Biology.. i predict 800, 700, 750 respectively.

GCSEs- 8A*s, 1 A, 1 B
A-level predictions- AAAAA (AS grades- AAAA)

Rank- my school doesnt rank but id guess top 5% out of a class of ~200

ECs- several; decent but no international awards

One of my main selling points is the diversity I can bring (having lived in three very contrasting countries/cultures)

Good recs

I've done the common appl essay which I think is pretty good (but thats not really a valid opinion)

Is it worth applying and will EA give me any kind of advantage.
Also I would just like to ask whether its advisable to write the additional essay in the supplementary form. I know it says it isnt required but is it commonly done and can it have a significant influence on ones chances?

Thanks in advance

Bump... help pls

In response to your questions:
Yes, yes, and (if you are a good writer and have something to say) yes.

Thx. I think im a decent writer but im not sure i can find a worthwile topic to write on though...

write about something that means a lot to you.
