Okay so this is what it says... ( my essay is b)

a. The quality of Rice's academic.. etc etc. Most applicants are able to respond successfully in two to three double spaced pages.

b. Personal Essays for Architecture Applicants: Please respond to each of the following. 1) What aspirations, experiences, or relationships have motivated you to pursue the study of architecture? 2) Outside of academics what do you enjoy most or find most challenging? Responses to each section should be approx. one page.

Now this is where i got lost.. for my essay (b) when they say one page per question, do they want it double spaced as well? plus it would be easier for them to read, but i'm just not sure...
also, i think i have an idea of what to write about... i'm just worried how i write will not be what they want. i mean i'm in ap english and i write pretty good essays-analysis, poetry explication, compare/contrast-, or rather my teacher thinks i do, so should i just write this essay the way i would write those kind of essays? and i mean my tone and diction, or should i be more casual? because usually when i write biographies for teachers or writing anything about myself i usually get into a casual tone as if i am actually speaking, therefore my writing isn't as formal as when i'm writing an essay for my english teacher. which would be the better way to go? casual or formal?

as you can probably tell, i'm kind of freaking out about these essays..
any help is MUCH APPRECIATED!!!
