Essays E, F, G Optional?

I think that essays E, F, and G are optional for the honors application, but I'm paranoid about "optional" essays. Is it really detrimental to your application because it shows "lack of interest" or whatever?

I'm top 10%, but I know that doesn't guarantee admission into the honors program (liberal arts honors). Mostly I'm time-crunched, so I don't think I'll really have time to do all the essays...that would be five total! Ugh.

Any thoughts?

The only essays you have to do with your application are A and B. The optional essays are just that, optional. But if you're applying to an honors program (I applied to Business Honors, Plan II, and Liberal Arts Honors), then they have program specific essays. For BHP A and B work, Plan II requires E or G as well, and Liberal Arts accepted B. I know you're looking at Liberal Arts Honors, so you're regular admissions essays work.

And you don't have to do all five. They don't want any extra stuff, so it definitely wont be detrimental to your application.

Okay, that's good. Thanks!
