Essays' lenght =?

Could anyone pls tell me the char limit for each essay for the Brown online app?
I can’t access the 2nd part, cause I have some issues with 1st part and haven’t submitted it yet.
(and i don’t want to submit a made-up app just for access)
(don’t need the PLME ones however, but i do need the science ones)

thx a lot

Question #1:
Tell us about the academic areas which interest you most and your reasons for applying to Brown.
(1500 characters)

Question #2:
Who interested you in Brown (e.g., college counselor, Brown alumnus/a, admission officer, undergraduate, relative)?
(500 characters)

Question #3:
In reading your application, we want to get to know you as well as we can. We ask that you use this opportunity to tell us something more about yourself that would help us toward a sense of who you are, how you think, and what issues and ideas interest you most.
(5000 characters)

-you should use lines instead of tabs to show new paragraphs because the site wont take tabs... oh and for some reason the character count by ms word doesnt match up with the character count on the site for me, but its pretty close so this shouldnt matter unless youre really close to the limit like me.

science ones:

Please select your primary interest: (chem, cs, engineering, physics)<-- not an essay, a "multiple choice" thingy

2.Many applicants to college are unsure about eventual majors. What factors led you to an interest in the field of science you have selected above?
(1000 characters)

3.What experiences, beyond school work, have broadened your interest in this particular field of science (these might include science fair projects, summer jobs, reading, etc.).
(1000 characters)

.Answer the appropriate question(s) in your intended major.

* Chemistry, Computer Science, or Physics:
1. What concept in your anticipated major were you most proud of mastering?
2. Briefly describe the course (or courses) you have taken up to the present in your chosen field of science. If possible, please include the title of the textbook and a short syllabus.
* Engineering
Brown offers programs in Biomedical, Chemical, Civil, Computer, Electrical, Materials and Mechanical Engineering. Because there is a common core curriculum within Engineering, students need not select a specific area until their junior year. We are curious, however, as to whether any particular program within Engineering presently appeals to you. Please discuss that choice if you have one.

Tell us approximately how many hours per week each activity entails.

You may want to consider drawing upon the following areas in compiling your individual list of activities:

* Activities and organizations to which you have been a frequent contributor. (Include the year(s) of participation and any offices held.)

 • Athletic teams on which you have played. (Please note if you won a varsity letter.) You may want to include times, distances, statistics.

Be sure to note employment during the school year and the amount of time such employment entails.
