<p>My essays for the common application are about 190 and 550 words, but the limit is 150 and 500...will the universities hate me for writing over the limit?</p>

<p>how about 650 for the main common app essay? i know that's really long, but i can't possibly cut it down. does anyone think it will be a big deal to the adcoms?</p>
<p>My is 573, I'm hoping that's ok. I imagine they don't count since a lot of the essays they get aren't done online but I'm no expert.</p>
<p>No one will notice if its 100-200 words over.</p>
<p>I don't consider a essay up to 700 words long. And jh1200, why will the universities ever hate you for just exceeding the limit by 50 words? That's just insane.</p>
