Essays+US Postal Service= Rejection?

Note: The title is just an attention grabber. One might call it a “hook” ; ).

I sent in Part I of my application electronically. I mailed Part II 12 days ago, and it doesn’t appear Brown has it. I’m sending it in from Illinois. About how long should I wait before I really start to get worried about Brown not getting it? And also, what happens if it’s not there by the January 1st deadline, should I call Brown and let them know what’s going on?

Are you sure you can submit part 1 online and part 2 by mail?

Yes. It says so on their admissions website.

there's prob. tons of mail going to the admissions office right now and they prob. cannot keep up with all of it. give them until mid-january before calling.

Actually, I just checked again... I had been looking in the wrong place. My applicant account shows my Form 3 essays to have been received a week ago today, so I guess that means they got everything. So, I guess that means I'm technologically challenged and Brown's mailroom rocks. And that one CAN send in essays in the mail and Part I online.
