<p>I don't believe they have a fixed word limit at U Chicago, although most colleges' limits are flexible anyway. My essay was 1 1/2 pages, single spaced (about 1,000 words), but shorter or longer shouldn't be a problem.</p>
<p>yeah, they probably give more leeway with their essays than other universities.</p>
