Essays

So, I'm procrastinating on my essays and I havn't finihsed them yet. yay! (sarcasm) (I'm planning on finishing them this weekend) well, anyway. I was just wondering how many words they should have on average. My Loomis form says 200-300 words but thats only for 1 essay. does anyone know about Taft or Exeter

I'm applying to Taft next year.... did you have the interviews yet???? Do you like the campus???

Yes, the interview was great, the head of admissions is really nice and far from dull. The campus is great too, not too big, not too small.

Exeter wants you to fit it (handwritten) on the space provided- front and back of the essay sheet, and then a typed copy. I assume that whatever you can fit will belong on there!
Andover wants 500 words or less.

I like Taft because it isn't too large, but has outstanding academics.

Ok, little update, I've written the final drafts of both my taft essays, one is 214 words, and the other 166, does that seem about right.

i think its a little short. average should be 400-450 words

for what school? that seems like a lot.

hmmm unless they say a word limit, it should always be around 400-450

Procrastination=story of my life.

hey, I applied to Taft too, and I decided to keep my essay on the short end, around 250 words.

I was writing essays for Andover, and I had 527 and 439 instead of 150, then 932 instead of 500. I’m working on shortening them.
