<p>I've often heard that Chicago puts a lot of weight on your essays. Are the "essays" the Chicago supplement or the supplement and the common app?</p>
<p>All common app schools look at the common app, so both the supplement and the common app.</p>
<p>The Uncommon application has more history with Chicago, so I dare to say that it may be more important, but the Common Application essay is now also an important part of application. Don’t neglect it.</p>
<p>Well, the common application contains an essay and the supplement contains an essay as well. Chicago’s supplement essays are known for being a little unorthodox, and I found that to be true as a prospective applicant as well good luck to you.</p>
<p>The essays which are atypical are those included in the supplement, which used to be part of the “Uncommon Application.” We use the standard info from the Common App (student’s info, ‘why you want to go here’ question, etc.) and then look for more creative, personalized answers to the supplementary questions.</p>
