What are some things that you should know about the college before you interview. I've got an interview coming up and I just wan tot know if I'm forgetting anything about the college.

I mean I know they wouldn't drill you on anything... but something that might come up... well anyways... answer away. And I don't mean interview questions I mean stuff about the college.

Just be prepared to answer questions like these:

What is it that drew you to this college/what do you like most?

What can you bring to this college?

If you can give answers that show you know what the college is known for (i.e. talk about engineering at a Caltech interview, not literature)(don't talk about the amazing weather at UChicago), you'll be fine.

And be prepared to ask questions about the college that show you've done some research, that you've thought about life at that school and what makes it special. For example this means asking questions about the study-abroad program at a school that prides itself on such a program, questions that show you've perused the material on the web & in the viewbook and thought about it.

I guarantee you that at every college interview they will turn to you at some point and ask if you have any questions. This isn't just to fill time, its a key part of the interview. Colleges want to see that applicants are seriously thinking about them, and having a few questions ready to show this is a significant part of doing well in interviews.
