So the majority of the schools I'm applying have a very large student body. One thing that came to my concern is the ability to establish a core group of friends. Is this difficult to have at a large university?

I am thinking the same thing with the same problem…but the way I am looking at it is more people to make friends with! I feel like you will be making a lot of friends the first day and stuff and it’ll grow once you join clubs and find people with the same interests…again I’m only a high school senior with the same thoughts as you but that’s just how I look at it

This is the same in schools of any size. You tend to meet people: 1) in your dorm 2) in your classes and; 3) by getting involved in clubs and activities that interest you. I’ve seen a lot of people at larger schools (but certainly not all) join frats/sororities in order to get into an established social circle.
