Purdue has focused on keeping tuition frozen rather than giving merit scholarships. As such, merit is very hard to come by, even for very strong applicants.
My son got $10k OOS and I’ve seen others with the same amount. He had a 34. His friend a 36 ACT. Got nada.
One has to assume Purdue is going to be full cost.
If you want guaranteed merit, apply to an auto merit school. Or variable merit, there’s many others.
But don’t count on Purdue.

And rare. No clue why he got. But I think it’s bcuz he went to STEP.
I’ve read a few this year saying $10k but it’s definitely small in frequency.
If cost an issue for OP, they can try as long as they have that guaranteed cost school on their list.
