<p>Yep – one of about $2,000. Kinda annoyed me, haha, but beggars can’t be choosers, I suppose.</p>
<p>If I were you, I would email them & ask what happened. I have always received a prompt response when I emailed. When you originally sent in your f/aid app, did you have “will file” on the FAFSA? It’s possible that the actual tax form figures were enough different that the award changed. Another possibility is that you put the wrong figure on the FAFSA or Profile (it happens, even to the most diligent of us!), which may have affected the aid. Finally, maybe the mistake was theirs … in which case, it would definitely be good to ask. Bottom line, you should find out what happened.</p>
<p>for me it was strange because my actual one was slightly more (like $600) than the estimate. Then a few weeks later they sent me a revised financial aid package where it went back down to the amount on the estimate.</p>
