I know this seems like a silly question, but is there a specific kind of ethernet cable we are to use for wired internet in the dorm rooms? The floor I'm on in my dorm does not have a study lounge, so I doubt I will get much of a wireless signal. UD's website says we need a 10 Base T Ethernet cable, what I've found while shopping are CAT6 and FastCat5e cables. I feel really clueless and would appreciate any help. Thanks!

Cat 6 superceded the Cat 5, and supposedly have better transmission if the underlying system supports it, but both are backwards compatible and fine for 10Base T.

Looks like all dorms have wireless access. I though it might have just been Rodney C as there was a sign up stating that wireless was active, but then I checked on the website under the IT section and it says all dorms are now wireless. No need for cables. Only downside is you can’t connect wireless printing but I would give that up to have wireless internet access. Yahooo…UDEL!

Yes, the wireless works well in my son’s dorm. He had not figured out how to connect his iphone but he was working on it.
